Further treatment is often recommended when the patient is discharged from the hospital. Rehabilitation aims at accelerating the physical, mental and psychological recovery of the patient. Specialized outpatient facilities address the patient's individual situation and offer a place where the patient can regain his energy. Here the patient receives support in dealing with (psycho-) social issues, too.
